It’s amazing that every year, despite the perpetual research, there are players that seemingly surface out of thin air to provide value at the major league level. Yes, although some of these players are “age inappropriate” for their level (the 27 year-old who is suddenly crushing AA pitching), it doesn’t portend a collapse at the major league level. The “Prospect” label is outworn all to often, but there’s value to be had for players and for us roto managers, particularly in deep leagues where productive ABs and Innings are the means of success.
We’ll work this year to uncover some productive gems while providing the content in our value driven fashion.
Enjoy!

Using our “Major League Equivalent Value” or “MLEV”, we’re able to project what a player would have been worth at the Major League level based on their minor league performance. The lower the minor league level, the steeper the ”discount” in terms of player values. It’s finally here. After nearly two years of re-working, re-engineering, re-imagining, we’re back! We will still apply our player value methodologies to the minor league players so you can more objectively assess performance rather than rely on the usual “Top” 20 or 30 lists provided in most...
